THANK YOU!

The Summer Guild could not have happened without you!

The master instruction, teachers and speakers, musical performance, laughter, tears, and lives changed all would not have happened this summer without the support of our prayer and financial partners. THANK YOU!

Audio Dramas

Guided by the hand of master instructors, our dramatic arts students joined together to create six vibrant mini audio dramas. From the minds of the scriptwriters to the voices of the actors, the sounds of the audio engineers to the melodies of the musicians…this was a beautiful testimony of the creativity and talents of the children of God.

The Lost Horse

The Lost Horse is a unique retelling of the prodigal son parable. Written to contrast the prodigal son with a rebellious horse, the teachings of horse trainer Lew Sterrett come alive under the direction of Aaron Burns and his Lamplighter guild filmmaking crew.

Photography

You’ve heard the saying, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” In Mandy Pallock’s photography class, students had the opportunity to explore just exactly what that means. Focusing on photography as a way to tell story, students went above and beyond documenting an event. In a single snapshot, they told the story of the Summer Guild.

Visual Arts

All the students in the painting class this summer worked together to create a polyptych (a painting divided into sections) of the prodigal son. This unique quadriptych (4 paintings) is also divided into two sides representing the paths of light and darkness.

PSAs

In a creative burst of exercise, all of the dramatic arts students tried their hands at writing 60-second, fun public service announcements. The result? A variety of colorful, imaginative works of art.

Voice & Stage Acting

This year looked a little different for our voice and stage actors as both classes combined to create improv. Starting with a scene, situation, and a stage, the actors brought to life a personal prayer request in a mini-drama. Highlighting the power of prayer, faith, and the wisdom of God, these were performances unlike any other.

What’s Next?

The Masters Guild was birthed from the summer guilds at Lamplighter. It expands on the teaching and training while adding a component of mentorship and work internship. We are about to start our 3rd semester and could use your help both financially and through prayer.
