Audio Dramas

This year scriptwriting students learned from The Master storyteller Himself with an in-depth study on the parables of Jesus. Guided by the hand of Daniel Schwabauer students joined together to create four modern retellings of Jesus’ parables as mini audio dramas. From the minds of the scriptwriters to the voices of the actors, the sounds of the audio engineers to the melodies of the musicians…this was a beautiful testimony of the creativity and talents of the children of God.

Filmmaking

A Glimpse

A Glimpse is a short film about Mary, a troubled young woman facing a hard decision regarding life and death. Will a new perspective of God change her outlook on life?

In just under a week, Brett and Gary Varvel showed their filmmaking students how to write, direct, and produce a short film. The result? A Glimpse.

Photography

This year’s photography class was a unique fusion of talent featuring Master Teachers James Staddon and Donnie Rosie. Students had the rare opportunity to put knowledge into action through photographing a LIVE event and capturing in time the story they saw unfolding around them.

Stage Acting

Storytelling is one of the most profoundly impactful ways to share the gospel and reveals the One in whose we were made in the image of. As artists, we have the privilege of showcasing the nature and character of the heavenly Father, the ultimate creative and storyteller!

During this immersive week in the stage acting track, students worked alongside the Arise Collective team to perform an original scriptural vignette based on the ministry of Jesus. This moving story contained a powerful message and brought many audience members to tears.

PSAs

In a creative burst of exercise, the scriptwriting students tried their hands at writing 60-second, fun public service announcements. The result? A variety of colorful, imaginative works of art.

Visual Arts

A world of creativity and color awaited visual arts students in our newly renovated art studio. Working side-by-side with Master Painter Deborah Hamby, students enjoyed an encouraging atmosphere while learning oil-painting techniques of brushwork, color mixing, application, etc…

Not only did they build confidence and skill they learned to see and appreciate the subtleties and dynamics of God’s wonderful creation. This was a gift they could take with them wherever they went!

Horticulture

This year Master Farmer Noah Sanders taught off-the-grid horticulture as well as how to use solar power for irrigation! His course also dug deep into practical principles for life in the disciplines of horticulture, renewable energy, household economics, and farming for the glory of God!

Timber Framing

Passionate about using the art of woodworking for the glory of God, Master Builder Joshua Coleman pieced together beauty and excellence with a hands-on, mentorship approach. Timber-framing students had the opportunity to learn the design, vocabulary, and anatomy of a timber frame as well as work as a team to create and craft an original timber-framed pavilion.
