Scriptwriting & Voice Acting

“Story is everything!”  said Phil Lollar to his eager scriptwriting students. And they set out to prove it! From the commercials they crafted to the 5-minute audio dramas they collaborated on, together they formed a story that will last far beyond their time at the guild.

More dramas coming soon…

PSAs

In a creative burst of exercise, the scriptwriting students tried their hands at writing 60-second, fun public service announcements. The result? A variety of colorful, imaginative works of art.

Filmmaking

Film Coming Soon…

John Fornof and Allen Hurley were reunited once more to create a film for the summer guild. Fusing interviews with Professor Colin Smith and Dr. Mark Hamby together with gorgeous footage from the world around them, the dynamic duo led their students on a journey of discovery, revelation, and wonder through Psalm 19.

Biblical Theology

Professor Colin Smith had one goal in mind: for his students to fall in love—with the Bible. Through exploring structure, historical development, and use of language, biblical theology students’ eyes were opened like never before to the beauty and truth of the Word of God.

Stage Acting

One of our new favorite classes is stage acting with Arise Collective. Although students came to learn the art of acting, they walked away with the much deeper lessons of teamwork, prayer in action, pure worship, and excellence to the glory of God. Enjoy!

Visual Arts

Visual Arts was taken to a whole new level this year with our first-ever printmaking class! Throughout the week, Stephen Crotts encouraged his students to actively sketch the beauty around them. The result? Beautiful, hand-carved print blocks for the whole class to enjoy!

Horticulture

This year Noah Sanders returned to teach his students farming for the glory of God. It’s very simple. Do all things: #1 On Time #2 With Excellence #3 With Minimal Waste #4 With Joy! Then, somehow, everything else falls into place.

Timber Framing

Passionate about using the art of woodworking for the glory of God, Master Builder Joshua Coleman pieced together beauty and excellence with a hands-on, mentorship approach. Timber-framing students had the opportunity to learn the design, vocabulary, and anatomy of a timber frame as well as work as a team to create and craft an original timber-framed gazebo.
